I've worked in advertising for 13 years during which I've had the privilege of working at some of the best agencies on the planet. I started my career at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and currently work at RPA. In between I've spent time at 72andSunny, The Martin Agency and 180LA among others.
I'm a sucker for a good backstory so here's mine...
There was a farm not far from where I grew up that always caught my eye as a kid. The farm sold fresh eggs and to promote business, the owners decided to write EGGS on the side of their barn. Well, shortly after, the town came forward and said the sign constituted a billboard and that the farm would have to pay taxes on it. The owners responded by changing the sign so EGGS was written backwards. This was now considered "art" and therefore exempt from any taxation.
Is this the reason I got into advertising? Who knows.
