This campaign commemorates the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 50th anniversary. Each execution presents a mixture of elements pulled directly from photographs taken at pro-LGBT rallies and events over the last half-century.
The typography is from a specially designed font, which borrows each of its letters and symbols from the powerful signage of the LGBT movement’s past. As part of a “Forward for 50” campaign, they speak directly to the Center’s 50-year commitment to moving in just one direction — toward progress, by honoring the decades of struggle that have paved the way to freedoms and acceptance.
